I fell in love with whisky when Lewis brought me an Old Pulteney 12 to try. From that moment, that was it! I was hooked, and the journey began.

Since then, whisky has become a huge passion of mine, not just enjoying the drink itself but the stories, craftsmanship and experiences that come with it. My current go-to whisky has to be the GlenAllachie 12, I’m an absolute sucker for a rich, sherried whisky.

At the moment, I’m taking on the challenge of peat… trying very hard to love it!

My passion for whisky started almost immediately after I was old enough to drink it! My journey began with cheap whisky and cokes in clubs, before I slowly progressed to drinking it neat. In fact, stealing some Teachers from my parents’ drinks cupboard was the first real taste of neat whisky I ever had. From there, I became curious about the different varieties, and my love for the spirit just snowballed.

Once I got Ben involved and we started taking trips up to Scotland, I realized just how fantastic the whisky community is. The passion other people have for it is amazing, and hearing the stories of how they got into the spirit is what fascinates me the most.

My current go-to for a casual dram is a Glengoyne 12, though I do love a Glen Scotia when I get the chance. Like Ben, I’m a big fan of a sherry bomb, but I’m always partial to a smokier whisky toward the end of the night.
